Fred O’Neal

Fred O’Neal is a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones.  He holds the certification of AAMS, Accredited Asset Management Specialist. He received his BBA and MBA degrees from the University of West Georgia.  He has nearly three decades of business experience and has served in various capacities for Edward Jones including Regional Leader, Compliance, Inclusion, and Sales Hiring.  Currently he serves as a member of the Grassroots Legislative Task Force which lobbies members of congress in Washington on issues affecting individual investors and the Atlanta Area Leader for Financial Advisor Growth.  He has attended specialized training including “Competitive Strategies”, Harvard University as well an attendee at the Peter Drucker School of Management, Clairmont University.

His current and past affiliations where he has served as director and/or chairman include the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, The Community Foundation, West Georgia Technical College Board of Directors, University of West Georgia Board of Trustees, Tanner Medical Foundation Board of Directors, The Salvation Army, First Baptist Church of Carrollton, Chatt-Flint Regional Development Authority, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity/Carrollton-Douglasville Chapter.

He has been featured in Fortune Magazine, Black Enterprise, Georgia Trend, and On Wall Street.  He has written articles for the Star News, Times-Georgian and Spemody newsletter. Recent recognitions: 2013 Sales Manager of the Year award – National Sales Network Atlanta Chapter, 2013 Barron’s Diversity Conference Attendee, 2013 Melvin Jones Fellow, Lions Club International.

His family includes wife Lillian of 27 years, son Wilson age 21, daughter Maya age 16 and Old English Sheep Dog Pepper.

In his spare time, he enjoys travel, old cars, golf, finding vintage bargains and music.
