Multiple Sclerosis Center of Atlanta (MSCA)
The Optic Neuritis Foundation, Inc., and the Multiple Sclerosis Center of Atlanta (MSCA) were able to join forces to help a patient with vision and mobility issues. The MSCA was able to get her new furniture, a new bed for mobility, bedding and much more. We were able to come in and help get her carpets cleaned, and a free vision exam. We had a combined 30 plus volunteer crew that stepped in and cleaned her entire house and worked with her son to help clean the front yard and plant flowers. So glad to be able to make the difference in this patient life.
Studies show that 3% of patients who have been diagnosed with Optic Neuritis Lost Vision, MOST patients regain their sight BACK!!! Reference: National Institute of Health.
Stability Pilates and Physical Therapy
We were excited to partner with Stability Pilates and Physical Therapy to present a "A Healthy Balance"! This was a great opportunity for anyone with vision issues to come into the studio and get balance and mobility sessions at a discounted rate.
MS Service Day
ONF partnered with the National MS Society of GA and The Home Depot for MS Service Day. On this day of service, ONF was able to partner with two great organizations to clean the home of a patient with MS and Visions issues. We also helped The Home Depot clean her yard and put down mulch, grass and paint the inside of her bedroom. We cleaned up master suite bathroom for her and set up a new medication station with containers from the Home Depot. Our Volunteers made a great difference in this patient way of living.
Free eye exam partnership with Georgia Ophthalmologists
ONF connected with Dr. Jaymini Nayee at Georgia Ophthalmologists in Covington Ga to give a deserving patient a free eye exam.
